This page explains what Plainserp collects, why, and who else handles it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and a hashed version of your password.
- API keys. We store a fingerprint of each key, not the key itself.
- Request log. For each search: the query, the time, whether it worked, how many results came back, how long it took and what it cost. This is what your dashboard shows you.
- Payments. The amount and status of each top-up. We never see your wallet keys.
- Sign-up address. A scrambled form of the IP address used to sign up, kept for two days to stop people opening accounts in bulk.
What we use it for
- Running the service: signing you in, billing each search and showing your usage.
- Keeping it working: spotting failures and abuse.
- Emails about your account, such as confirming your address or resetting a password.
We don’t sell your data, show ads or send marketing email.
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores accounts and the database.
- Vercel hosts the website and API.
- Resend delivers account emails.
- NOWPayments processes crypto payments.
- Google. Your search queries are sent to Google to fetch results. They go out through a proxy and are not linked to your account or your IP address.
Cookies
We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. Deleting your account from the account page removes your profile, keys, request log and payment history straight away.
Your choices
You can change your email or password and delete your account from the account page. For a copy of your data, or anything else, message @vvz25 on Telegram.
