Terms of service
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of Plainserp, a service that returns web search results through an API. By creating an account or using the API you agree to them.
The service
Plainserp fetches publicly available search results and returns them as JSON. It is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google. Results come from a third party we don’t control, so we can’t promise they are complete, accurate or always available.
Your account
- You need a working email address and must keep your password and API keys private.
- You are responsible for everything done with your keys. Revoke a key at once if it leaks.
- One person or organisation may not open several accounts to collect the free starting balance.
Paying
- You pay in advance by adding money to your balance. Each successful search takes $0.0003 from it. Requests that fail are not charged.
- Your balance doesn’t expire while your account is open.
- Payments are made in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
- We may change prices. A change never applies to searches you have already made.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, defraud or harm anyone;
- try to get around rate limits, billing or account restrictions;
- resell the service as a competing search API without our written agreement;
- attack, overload or probe the service for weaknesses.
Each account has a limit on searches per minute, shown in your dashboard. You are responsible for making sure your own use of search results follows the laws and third-party terms that apply to you.
Availability
The service is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uptime. It depends on a third party and can stop working without notice. We may change, limit or end the service at any time.
Ending an account
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Any balance left when an account is closed is handled as the refund policy describes.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Plainserp is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms. Questions go to @vvz25 on Telegram.
